Hospital & Healthcare Plant Rental in Pune
A hospital lobby is somewhere people wait while frightened. Greenery does more measurable good in that room than in almost any office — it softens a clinical environment, gives anxious families something restful to look at, and signals a standard of care before anyone has spoken to a doctor.
But hospitals are also the one client type where plants must be placed with genuine care, and where a vendor who doesn’t understand that is a liability rather than an asset.

Where live plants belong in a hospital — and where they don’t
We will tell you plainly: live plants should not go into high-risk clinical areas. Established infection-prevention guidance advises against potted plants and fresh flowers in units caring for immunocompromised patients, because soil and standing water can harbour Aspergillus and Pseudomonas species. That means no live planting in:
Intensive care units · oncology, haematology and transplant wards · burns units · operating theatres and sterile corridors · neonatal intensive care · any area your infection control committee designates as protective isolation.
Where live plants work very well, and where we concentrate:
Main lobby, atrium and reception — the highest-impact space in the building, and fully public.
OPD and outpatient waiting areas — where people spend the longest time, and where the calming effect matters most.
Administrative offices, boardrooms and doctors’ cabins — non-clinical, and the areas your consultants and management actually work in.
Cafeteria, canteen and staff break rooms — greenery in staff rest areas is one of the cheapest wellbeing investments a hospital can make.
Entrance approach and non-clinical corridors — placed so they never narrow a trolley or wheelchair route or obstruct fire egress.
If your facilities team wants greenery in a restricted area, we would rather propose high-quality artificial planting or a green wall for that specific zone than put live soil where your protocols say it shouldn’t be.
How we install for healthcare environments
Sealed planters, no standing water. We use closed planters with no exposed water reservoir and no drip trays sitting in public areas, and we water to a controlled schedule rather than leaving saucers to collect moisture.
Covered soil surfaces. Soil is kept covered rather than open, which reduces disturbance and keeps the installation looking clean between visits.
Easy-clean, low-litter species. Plants that hold their leaves rather than constantly shedding onto floors your housekeeping team has to keep spotless. Leaf cleaning is part of every service visit.
Low-pollen and non-toxic selections. We avoid heavily flowering, strongly scented and high-pollen material in patient-facing areas, and we can build a fully non-toxic plant list — Areca Palm, Parlour Palm, Spider Plant, Boston Fern and Calathea are all safe choices that still look excellent.
Placement that respects circulation. Planters are positioned clear of corridors, exits, fire equipment and trolley paths, and are heavy enough at the base not to tip in a busy public space.
Servicing around your schedule. Maintenance visits are planned for low-traffic windows and coordinated with your housekeeping and facilities teams, with our staff briefed on your access and hygiene requirements.
Plants we use most in healthcare settings
Lobbies and atriums with daylight: Areca Palm, Rubber Plant and Dracaena for height and presence.
OPD and interior waiting areas: Snake Plant, ZZ Plant and Aglaonema — robust, clean-leaved and tolerant of artificial light and heavy air conditioning.
Cabins and offices: compact Aglaonema, Money Plant and small palms.
What your monthly rental includes
Plants selected for each zone’s light and use · sealed planters appropriate to a clinical building · delivery and installation outside peak hours · scheduled maintenance covering watering, pruning, leaf cleaning and pest control · and free replacement of any plant that isn’t in good condition.
Because it is a rental, nothing is capitalised and the replacement risk sits with us. If a plant declines, it is swapped — it never becomes a tired fixture in a public waiting room.
Working with hospital procurement
We can work through your standard vendor onboarding, purchase order and GST invoicing process, and quote on an annual maintenance contract basis so the cost is a single predictable line item. We are happy to walk the site with your facilities manager and infection control lead together, and to plan the installation around whatever your policy permits.
Book a Free Site Visit
